Ibdaa staff
Ibdaa was founded in 1994 by
Khalid Al-Saifi, a teacher in Dheisheh Camp, and Ziad
Abbas, journalist. Both continue to oversee daily operations
at Ibdaa as co-directors, frequently traveling to represent
lbdaa at international conferences and leading the Dance
troupe's international tours.
Ibdaa's staff are both paid
and volunteer, and of all ages. Many of the youth who
grew up in lbdaa's programs now lead in the organization.
Youth manage the computer center, train the Dance toupe
, lead tours for International delegations, speak at
conferences, workshops and forums, and oversee many
routine functions at the
center.
lbdaa has a paid staff of 12
who oversee and manage the guesthouse
and restaurant, the nursery
and Kindergarten, the library,and
the women's embroidery workshop.
